San Joaquin Valley Leaders Host Event to Discuss their Region’s Longitudinal Student Achievement Data

ERP President and CEO Dr. Jim Lanich presented San Joaquin and Stanislaus County education and business leaders with Cal-PASS Plus data findings on March 4, 2020.

On March 4, 2020, approximately 30 representatives from local K-12 districts, universities, non-profits and businesses gathered at the San Joaquin County Office of Education to discuss how Cal-PASS Plus data can help accelerate regional prosperity and education to career pathways in the San Joaquin Valley. The meeting was hosted by San Joaquin County Office of Education Superintendent James Mousalimas.

Educational Results Partnership President and CEO Dr. Jim Lanich facilitated the discussion by presenting Cal-PASS Plus longitudinal data findings for the region and sharing how this information can guide leaders in the region in working together to align education and career pathways. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussion regarding which additional success metrics can be helpful in guiding future planning. The event helped to catalyze data-informed collaboration toward ensuring more learners are getting the education and skills needed to be successful in today’s economy.

Attendees are now working with Cal-PASS Plus to increase their local data coverage in order to begin putting their goals into action. If you are interested in being involved in the San Joaquin Valley regional learning collaborative or would like to schedule a similar presentation for your region, please contact Alex Barrios at abarrios@edresults.org.
